Health Assessment and Surveillance
Pre-hire health assessments are completed to ensure a good fit between individuals and the physical demands of their work. Executive and risk-exposed workers have access to periodic follow-up health assessments and routine health surveillance programs.
Workplace Health Hazard Assessment and Control
We conduct surveys to identify and control noise, chemical and radiation (e.g. naturally occurring radioactive material) hazards in the workplace. Surveys for asbestos and other health risks are instituted following acquisitions, as appropriate.
Managed Rehabilitative Care
Active intervention in illness and injury cases by Company health specialists ensures proper diagnosis and treatment, earliest-possible return to work, and promotes workplace productivity.
Workstation Ergonomics and Repetitive Strain
We actively promote and monitor for proper workstation design and setup to minimize the risk of repetitive strain injury in the workplace.
International Travel and Relocation
Health risks associated with international travel and relocation are minimized through pre-travel health risk assessment, appropriate immunizations, malaria prophylaxis where indicated, and regular follow-up health assessments.
Emergency Medical Support at Remote Sites
We provide professional emergency medical support for Company personnel at remote operating locations and in countries where such facility is not otherwise available.
International Medevac
We maintain a global contract with SOS International Assistance that provides for prompt international medical evacuation and global access to world-class emergency health care.
Employee and Family Assistance Program
The majority of our personnel have access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program. These confidential programs provide access to trained counselors to assist with significant personal and family problems that may have an impact on job performance.
Wellness and Health Promotion
Our regional operations promote health and wellness through a variety of broader mechanisms including "lunch-and-learn" information sessions, special clinics and focused outreach on specific health concerns.
